News Flash: Terrariums are all the rage. Of course, until last Friday, I was calling them “Terrainiums.” Have I reached that point where I start making up names for new fads? Like when my mom says FaceSpace? Ugh. But like my mom (who has since joined Facebook and now comments on my every post), I’ve seen the err of my ways, and am now a Terrarium Aficionado... thanks to Crown Town Handmade.

It’s actually a fairly simple process. We just used these directions found on Design*Sponge. All you need is a jar, some dirt, and some moss... And voila, your very own terrainium!... Ahem, terrarium (old habits die hard).
Above, are a couple of my favorite end products. April Young turned her old gumball machine into a terrarium, how original!? And Rachel Taliaferro, of Rachel Taliaferro Art Jewelry, set-off her mini-landscape with a cleverly placed pink stork.
