The Mish, aka Mission District, is named after the Mission Dolores (the oldest building in San Francisco - upper right image). I was lucky enough to land a quaint apartment in the heart of this neighborhood. The Mission District exudes a rebellious, creative, DIY spirit. And with all public art, urban boutiques, thrift stores and hole-in-the-wall restaurants and bars, I was in heaven.
My favorite mural, a Casablanca style stencil, and a stickered No Parking sign.

Taqueria La Cumbre.... best Mexican I've had in a while...
(Top) Cory making a stop at his 5th record store of the trip: Grooves Vinyl Attractions. (Lower Left) A coffee shop and video store in one: Faye's Video and Espresso Bar! Caffe Trieste: my favorite spot for the mid-morning latte. (Lower Right) A shop called Therapy... and yes, it lives up to its name... one side- handmade home wares, the other side- original and stylish clothing.
Flax Art and Design: the Mecca for paper lovers like myself. They carry over 7,000 different sheets of paper. It's like walking through a giant card catalog of paper! Brought home some good stuff for some new pocket mirrors.
