Remember making friendship bracelets as a kid? I would pick a few colors of embroidery floss, tie a knot in the end and safety pin the strands to my backpack for resistance. Then tie knot after knot.... till finally my pattern started to develop like magic! It was one of my first handmade endeavors. Ah, memories.

As I was reminiscing about it today, I decided to see how the craft has been holding up. And to my amazement - I was floored by what appeared on Etsy. I found intricate textiles, colorful jewelry and not so childlike handiwork. I picked a few of my favorites from  Ferns and Moss, Studio Rick Rack, Shimbus, Audgpodge, Bright Village, Brillosito, and Artistic Jewelry to showcase the amazing progress these symbols of friendship have made since I was a youngin'. I wish I could buy them all!
